Yes, if you haven’t received a booster in the past ten years. Immunity decreases with time, and a single Revaxis booster will boost your protection against all three diseases before traveling to higher-risk areas.
If your last DTP booster has been within the last 5 years, repeat booster doses are not currently recommended. If your pharmacist knows the date of your last dose when you come in for your consultation, they will be able to confirm your eligibility.
Not quite. Revaxis is a low-dose formulation for booster vaccination in adults. The diphtheria component is at a lower level than the childhood vaccine and is designed to maintain immunity rather than to create it from scratch.
After your appointment, you will receive a vaccination record via email. Some countries with active polio risk may require proof of polio vaccination for entry or exit, and your pharmacist will advise you on this at your consultation.
Yes. Revaxis is for children aged 6 years and above. Children under 6 need a different formulation, which is available through the NHS childhood immunisation schedule. Bring any vaccination records you have to your appointment so your pharmacist can check if your child is eligible.
