Long-haul flights across time zones can throw your body clock out. Ask our pharmacist about ways to adjust faster and sleep better on arrival. Suitability is checked at your appointment.

// Travel Advice

Vaccines for Travel Maidstone: Which Ones Do You Actually Need?

Get personalized vaccine advice based on your destination, travel activities, and health.

The truth is that it depends on your specific trip. Your destination is important, but so are your accommodation type, planned activities, how long you’ll be away and your personal health history.

Hepatitis A and Typhoid are recommended as a baseline for most travel outside of Western Europe, North America and Australia. NaTHNaC’s travel health information service, travelhealthpro.org.uk, gives country-specific vaccine recommendations which are updated regularly on a country-by-country basis.

// Stay Safe

Important Vaccine Timing: Book Early for Course Vaccines

Start your vaccine course early to complete all doses well before your departure date.

Some vaccines need more than one dose, given weeks or months apart. If you leave it too late, you may not finish your course before you fly.

Rabies is three doses in 21 to 28 days. The Hepatitis B standard schedule takes 3 doses over a few months, but there is an accelerated schedule for last-minute travellers. Japanese encephalitis requires 2 doses 28 days apart. Where possible, we recommend booking at least six to eight weeks in advance of your departure date.
