Why Do Travel Vaccines Differ by Destination?

Each country has its own mix of health risks, depending on where it is in the world, its climate and how you travel.

Your vaccination needs depend on where you’re going and what you’ve already had. Someone who finished a hepatitis A and B course three years ago has different needs from someone never vaccinated. The only way to get this right is a face-to-face appointment with a qualified travel pharmacist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need different vaccines for every country I visit on a multi-stop trip?

Yes. Recommendations are built around your full itinerary, not just your final destination. Bring your complete travel plan to consultation.

Mandatory vaccines are legal entry requirements. Recommended vaccines are strongly advised for health reasons. Your pharmacist explains which ones apply at consultation.

Risk is lower but not zero. Hepatitis A and typhoid can be contracted in any destination with different food and water standards.

Yes. Multiple family members can be vaccinated in one visit. Most travel vaccines are available from age 1 or 2, eligibility confirmed at consultation.

Six to eight weeks before departure is ideal. If your trip is sooner, book immediately; many vaccines are still available at short notice.

That is exactly what your consultation is for. Bring your itinerary, health history, and travel dates, your pharmacist does the rest.
